enlazando con el topic de los canoistas rusos muertos en china os pongo este reportaje de un viejo national geographic (nov 97). al leerlo da la impresión de que tanto el texto como las imagenes saben a poco, pero es lo que hay. espero que os guste

he estado enredando un poco por la red buscando cosas de los bublick. he encontrado un video de esos que te dejan un tanto alucinado. ya hay que tener ganas de meterse por esos sitios con esos aparatos. darle un vistazo al video hasta que cambia la másica, que al principio parece fácil, que tienen momentos que parece que son bastante apurados.

Bublick Expeditions

At the end of 1999, Adventure Whitewater and a team from Russia (Siberia) together made the first ever descent of one of the most dangerous sections of the Upper Arun Gorge. As this was the first descent of the river we carried the Nepali flag, though it did get rather wet at times!

This proved to be a very successful expedition, as can see from the photos in our gallery. We received a great deal of television coverage from the national network in Nepal and our subsequent documentary is often shown on national sports channels.

If you wish, you are welcome to join us on similar ground-breaking expeditions in the future. As these involve a great deal of planning and are dependent on prevailing conditions, it is important that you contact us as soon as possible if you are interested - and if you think you are up to it!

La verdad, curioso es un cacho, aunque a mí no me atrae nada bajar en esos mamotretos.
Si hasta los remos que llevan no es que les cunda mucho que digamos, van por donde dicta la corriente.

Algo así hacíamos cuando éramos pequeños, en un neumático de tractor (las ruedas grandes, claro), lo llevábamos a la playa y los cuatro primos a pasárnoslo pipa Very Happy

Leído el artículo: vaya con el jefe de expedición, tienen que parar pues éste se desploma a 3.600 metros, parece ser debido a su afición al tabaco Wink

con la de información que hay hoy en día (quiero pensar que en Rusia están tan al corriente como aquí). Pues eso, ya sabéis, el tabaco hay que dejarlo.

me he encontrado con un video en el que también sale alguno de los catamaranes de aguas bravas del artículo, aunque comarado con el otro vídeo, este te deja un poco frío. con el "catamarán" con el que más se les ve parece un cadillac descapotable de los años 40 al que han rellenado toda la chapa de aire
